We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, as it's right in the middle of the entire ski area and next to the ski slopes. It's also just a few steps away from the ski lift, which is very convenient. The facilities are great, and we loved the breakfast, which had a variety of dishes to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and tidy.
Nothing that we didn't like.

All you need for skiing in Nagano. Breakfast was extensive - lots of dishes. We loved the Japanese cuisine in the restaurant.

This hotel is situated in a stunning location, nestled at the base of a mountain. The serene valley surroundings provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for guests. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly and kind, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Despite the limited English spoken, their genuine efforts to assist guests are evident. The rooms are warm and cozy, equipped with all necessary amenities, including a comfortable bed and a lovely bath with tea making facilities. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service, making transportation convenient for guests. The breakfast selection is varied and satisfying, with a buffet style that caters to different tastes.

Location is excellent with ski slopes just across the road. Ski rental is affordable and staff helpful and friendly. The onsen was decent and relaxing. The room was spacious and comfortable with traditional Japanese decoration.
The hotel is quite dated and in need of renovation. Some facilities were closed during our stay, including the restaurant and bar.

We had an unforgettable stay at the hotel with its ideal location right opposite the ski lift. It's perfect for ski enthusiasts who want easy access to the slope. We enjoyed waking up early to catch the first lift and skiing down to the hotel's door. the staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was great. the rooms were clean and cozy with comfortable beds and a well-maintained bathroom. We also appreciated the free massage chairs and the free shuttle service down to the bus stop.
The room's décor was dated, but it did not affect our overall pleasant experience.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem nestled in the beautiful Shiga Kogen area. The location at the base of the mountain offers stunning views and convenient access to the slopes. The value for money is outstanding, especially considering the direct access to the ski slopes. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, and the Japanese style rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The access to ski slopes was really good, just a few meters away from the hotel, which made it really easy to hit the slopes early in the morning. the Japanese style dishes for dinner were one of the highlights of the stay; they were really delicious and offered a range of flavours. We also enjoyed the convenience of having ski rental in the same building, which saved us some time.
The hotel was quite dated and the tatami mats in the room were not comfortable for sleeping, which made our Christmas stay quite unpleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a strong smell that made it hard to spend time there.

During my stay at Shiga Kogen, I was amazed at the wide range of activities and traditional events that the hotel had arranged for New Year's. From dragon dancing to making Japanese rice balls, the hotel ensured that guests had an unforgettable experience. The feast on both nights was exceptional, with a variety of delicious traditional New Year's dishes. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from arranging last-minute ski instructors to providing helpful information about nearby attractions like the snow monkeys.

The staff go above and beyond to provide superb customer service, even going as far as accompanying guests to the hospital in case of an emergency. The hotel's location at the base of a mountain allows for easy access to skiing and other outdoor activities.
